A New Kind of Fashion Experience

In November 2026, Kingfisher will be launching its first international fashion residency in Cyprus. It’s an immersive creative experience bringing together models, photographers, stylists, content creators and fashion enthusiasts within a refined, sophisticated environment.

The Kingfisher Residency isn’t designed to be another traditional fashion show or industry event. It’s focused on experience, collaboration, portfolio building and real creative connection.

Why I Created the Residency

This came from my own experience working within fashion and observing how a lot of events are run today. Many fashion events now prioritise scale, influence and profit, and in doing so a lot of creatives end up feeling misplaced or out of place.

While large runway shows and influencer-led productions definitely have their place, they don’t always give people the space or time to grow, or actually develop. A lot of them can be overcrowded, overpriced, and overwhelming, leaving many feeling like a rabbit in the head lights, under compensated, with no where to go and no idea on how to get to an international platform.

The Kingfisher Residency was created to offer something different, a more intimate, personal, considered, small group environment that’s focused on creative and personal growth in real time, structured but relaxed, creatives come together over several days, build their portfolios, gain experience, prepare for the main fashion show, and create high-quality content in a unique environment over 4 days.

Rather than just walking a runway once and leaving, everyone becomes part of a shared 4 day creative process, learning from each other, collaborating, and building confidence while creating Mediterranean-inspired content and walking in possibly your first international fashion show.

The Experience

A 4 night creative retreat creating, lifestyle content, with professional creative direction from photographers and directors. learning key areas such as set direction, light, posing, catwalk, and more.

The main show is intentionally intimate, with around 80 to 130 invited hotel guests creating a focused un pressured environment where your new skills, and new found confidence, can actually be seen, practiced, appreciated properly and recognised.

Throughout the residency, you will take part in a creative programme including:

  • Runway experience and rehearsal inc catwalk training 

  • Portfolio-building  

  • Lifestyle content creation 

  • Collaborative creative direction during lifestyle photoshoots 

  • Styling sessions with professional stylists for the main event

  • Networking with other creatives and connect for future projects 

  • A private fashion show experience

  • Exposure to invited press and media

Investment and Access

The Kingfisher Residency is a partially self-invested experience and is not a paid modelling job. It’s a professional creative experience designed to help you build your portfolios, confidence and industry exposure in an international Mediterranean environment 

Kingfisher will cover:

  • Hotel accommodation (shared) (Room upgrades available)

  • Food during the stay 

  • Drinks throughout the experience

  • Transfers in Cyprus

All you will need to cover is own flights, personal spending, travel insurance, room upgrades, and any additional expenses.

Although this is not a paid opportunity, the long-term creative and personal value of what you take away is priceless and you will walk away with:
